This wireless adapter is amazing. Connected it and it found my networks with no problem. It is so nice not having to run an ethernet cable to the other end of the house now.

This wireless network adapter works great and is easy to setup, but beware of one glitch. When you open the package, you’ll find a setup disc that states clearly to install first before you hook up the adapter. However, my Xbox will not run this disc, at all. It just notes that it is a multi media disc and there’s nothing you can do. Apparently many people have experienced this, and who knows if Microsoft is going to correct the issue. However, I plugged in the adapter without using the setup disc, and had no problems getting it to connect and work properly. Just set it up manually through your Xbox system settings and you should be good to go.

After having to install this adapter on my xbox i noticed my game Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was freezing up like no tomorrow. I am connected to internet via Verizon Fios using Auctiontec wireless router M424WR. I never had any problems with the older model wireless network adapter. If anyone had the similar issue please respond. The NAT is open tested with the different game experience the same xbox live freeze. Help!!!

This comes with an install CD which for me didn’t appear to run. The Adapter ended up installing and configuring properly.
I’m using this with the Linksys Dual-N Band Wireless Router and the signal is solid. Significantly less pausing while watching tips videos on XBox live. What is significant. I used to have to wait two minutes to load the video – now it streams at the start. Before I would get two to three long pauses as the video cache loaded. Now they are one, max two pauses that last seconds before the video proceeds.
Unlike the old adapter, the signal bar is full. Being that my console is at floor level – I might benefit from an extension to raise the Adapter higher to increase the signal strength.
Its worth noting that I was using a Lynksis WET610N Wireless N Bridge to increase the range of my router. This XBox adapter simply works better – hands down.
